Terms and Conditions
- All bands must register via our website. http://www.sorstudios.com
- All bands must audition live at SOR Recording Studios.
- All bands must play original material.
- Participants must be 14 yrs old and over.
- At least 1 member must reside on Staten Island.
- Each band is permitted to play TWO (2) songs.
- Each band will have 15 minutes to perform their songs. No Exceptions.
- Any band that arrives late for their audition will not be eligible to participate in the contest. No Exceptions.
- A full backline will be available for each band. Band members are only permitted to bring their instruments [Guitars, Bass and Keyboards]. Drummers will have a 5 piece drum kit available for them to use including our Iron Cobra Double Bass Drum Pedal. Cymbals are included with the kit. Please do not bring your own cymbals/hardware. Guitar amps include a Mesa Boogie Mark IV Rectifier Half Stack, a Fender Prosonic Half Stack and a Hartke Bass amp. Keyboard players may bring their Keyboard and a Stand. Keyboards will be plugged into our Yamaha 1000 Watt P.A. System.
- The contest is only available to band members, therefore band members are the only people permitted to show up for the audition. Due to the high volume of auditions, space will be limited. Band members only.
- Auditions will be narrowed down to FIVE finalists.
- Previous winners are not permitted to participate in this years contest.
